For Plex, however, thinking about it twice, I feel an IP based control was much more indicated - itn would give you all parameters plus, it would overcome the requirement of a cabble connection. To connect the IR control kit, place both ends of the HDMI cable with the supplied HDMI IR adapters. I expect a wider suport over CEC in the future. You have set Settings -> System -> Raspberry Pi settings -> HDMI-CEC device to the right HDMI port, right You need to reboot the Pi after. Usually they would only implement power, volume, channel change, directional pad and transport control. ![]() But even then it needs to be seen which parameter actually can be acessed. To control a unit over CEC the unique command set must be programmed into a driver. The control is still over IR, not CEC for any other device but the 3 listed. So, to explain: The "destupidifying" over HDMI CEC only serves to determine the power status after an IR (!) power toggle command has been sent. It enables your TV to relay control signals over the HDMI cable which gives. They only way to control Plex with Neeo is IR and Neeo consider it as a stupid device. If "CEC is for not so smart devices (with IR)", i don't get it at all. ![]()
